Big Muff Pi

Yo people!! New pedals coming in line. Last night I built Big Muff Pi and I would say its a kick ass Pedal! Great tones can be  generated from bluesy to metal. Very versatile pedal and I am loving it. :)

The inside of the pedal.

And here is the sound sample which I recorded from my sound cards Line In. Used a Godin Session on Bridge pick up. First knob is volume, second is tone, third is gain. In the audio, volume is at 1 o' clock, tone is at 1 o' clock, goes all the way up in the last part of clip and the gain goes from zero to full through out the audio. What I have done in the audio is just a glimpse, can be done a lot with this pedal.

Guitar Cables

I am making guitar cables guys! Can come with right angle plugs or straight plugs. Price vary on plugs make. Indian and Chinese plugs are cheaper and Neutrik plugs are a bit costly.  Both are pretty good.

Till then keep rocking people.

Vintage Boost

Hey people! I completed this built today. Its based on tonepad MXR Microamp circuit. Its got a very vintage sound to it with a nice overdrive when the gain is kept full. Its a great clean boost. Will push the overall EQ, much needed when you want your solos to get noticed. ;)

Will be working on some more boost circuits like EP Booster and AC booster. But this one will remain a great buy for your bucks. Till then seeya! :)

Decal on Fuzz Pedal.

Hey guys, here is a pedal case I applied a decal designed in photo editing app.
This is the first time I am applying a waterslide decal on something. Little jagged on the edges but I guess for the first timer its pretty decent. Since I learned now, next designs will be clean and clear.

I used white powder coated case, since the colored decals looks very cool on a white background.
Clear coated it with a lacquer spray. Several coats.  Looking shiny and smooth.

Update:
So here is the completed Fuzz. It requires a positive ground supply. I am trying to find a voltage inverter circuit to fix this. Will upload sound samples soon. Been pretty busy these days. Hope you guys like the overall design. I think the knobs will look cool in black, so now I need to get them.

Now it belongs to my friend Ankur. He wanted it to glow in the dark for that psychedelic effect. So now I am trying to find a glow in the dark clear spray. See ya!

Power Supply for Pedals

Hey people! I am building power supplies for pedals. It has got a normal 0.5A transformer which can power upto 5-7 pedals assuming each pedal takes up 50-60mA of current.

Also includes a daisy chain supply cable. I can also offer a higher current rating transformer on request. This one has got 2 power pin outs one for 9 volts and one for 18 volts.

Will keep you posted, cheers!

Case powder coated.

Yo, I got a sample of powder coated case. It looks pretty good. I couldn't wait to rig up the circuit and put in a drive pedal. Decent haa!

Have to get some cool knobs and the decal design still remain.

The circuit is a tone pad drive a Tube Screamer TS9 clone. Pretty warm sounding. Great for blues players. A Boost in front of it and you have a tone to die for.

Will keep posting more stuff. See ya!!

Starting out the project with PT-80 Delay.

After sorting out the PCB and the components, I started with this delay, PT-80 designed by Scott Swartz.

I started out with this because the components were readily available. I haven't used the MAX1044 IC its pretty hard to find here in Mumbai. But I recently found an online store so I am gonna order it soon. Also used some an other substitute for transistor 5088.

So after rigging up all these components(there are too many), I tried to fire it up. But since I dint had a charge pump IC on it, this rig needed atleast 14volts of power supply. I dint had a power supply adapter so I had to put  9volt batteries in series. And bang it worked!

The sound is pretty neat. Awesome response, nice decay and pretty clean and transparent.
Will upload the sound samples and videos soon.

So this is a rough render of the casing. Will have a little changes over the drill template. So that it looks proportionally correct. Paint and art work job remains. Will be done soon in time.

Update:

Here is the sound sample of the pedal. Used a Godin Session on neck pick up.
